So this crazy woman who already has 6 children with no father in sight, gets artificially sperminated to produce another 8 babies…all born at once! They are called Octuplets. She has been hospitalized for months prior to the births, which cost the tax payers money. This single mother of 6 had declared bankruptcy last year. How did she have the money to go through this medical procedure to begin with? I can’t even get my ears pierced or my teeth cleaned without giving a full medical history! I have to pull a co-pay out of my pocket before I can even get looked at by a doctor. How the hell did she get approved to stuff her uterus with more children than I can fit into my SUV?
Now the big controversy is that she is going to sell her story to the media. For what, a lousy 2 million? That’s right, I said a LOUSY TWO MILLION. When you are looking at raising 14 children, especially ones with medical concerns and needs, 2 mil isn’t going too far! I had a premature single birth 19 years ago. My son was born 20 years ago, when you could buy a gallon of milk, or a gallon of gas or loaf of bread for a dollar, and his medical bills were close to a quarter of a million dollars! With the cost of inflation and multiplying this by 8, that 2 million will be gone in a year!
Then she talks about pitching a reality show… Unless you want to see a mom completely lose her damn mind, which don’t get me wrong, can be good tv, but unfortunately be only one episode long..no second season here! More of a you tube thing if you ask me.
Jon and Kate plus 8 is a reality show about a family that works and it works because you have a husband at home and an over-controlling, neurotic mother working together, full-time, full-tilt boogie taking care of these children. They also have the support of friends and sponsors. If I had a product to sell, I would be happy to let the Jon and Kate brood hock it. That family isn’t crazy!
This lady is obviously nuts! Â Unless she is pushing Zoloft with red wine chasers, I can’t believe in any product associated with her.
Larry King interviewed the parents of the last set of Octuplets born 10 years ago. They looked like a beautiful family, but still stunned! All they kept saying, (no matter what question was asked) was, ” They are a blessing Larry, A real blessing”.
My 11 year old was listening to an interview and made a wise observation, “Why couldn’t she just turn into the crazy cat lady? It would be so much easier!”
